Some awesome pictures of the big old warehouse at Third and Mariposa Streets on the edge of Dogpatch and Mission bay. The old building is being systematically dismantled so that the site can become the new home of a UCSF hospital. The way they're taking it apart it almost appears to be fading away.
I really like the aesthetic of these old utilitarian structures. Now I'll have to get my fix from the few that remain, including the massive Muni yard at 16th and Folsom Streets.
This particular warehouse in Mission Bay was especially nice to look at, IMHO. It was frequently tagged and re-painted. One tag on the back of the building was so nice I made a font out of it, which happens to be the one used in the logo for this blog.
